Our Cakes

It is very difficult to provide an exact price for each individual cake as they are made specially to order. Please feel free to contact Rhwbeth Melys in order for us to give you a better understanding of pricing, as this changes according to cake size, flavours and complexity of design.

 

We can cater for any occasion, whether it be birthdays, christenings, anniversaries, weddings or any other occasion you might be celebrating. We can create the perfect culinary creation to suit your needs.

Cake Flavours and Fillings

Our most popular and well-loved flavours are our Victoria Sponge, the traditional favourite vanilla flavoured sponge with a raspberry jam filling, and our Chocolate Sponge, which is a chocoholic’s dream!

Fancy tickling your taste buds with something a little bit different? Rhwbeth Melys has a range of delicious cake flavours including Salted Caramel, Chocolate Orange, Lemon, Lemon and Elderflower, Lemon and Poppyseed, White Chocolate, White Chocolate and Raspberry, Red Velvet, Carrot Cake, Orange, Banana, Coffee and Banoffee.

Fruit cake is a long-standing favourite, packed with juicy raisins and blanketed in rich marzipan under a layer of velvety icing.

Additional cake flavours, fillings, icings and toppings are available on request – we encourage you to be creative, and always welcome a culinary challenge!

Cake Sizes

All sponges are 4 inches tall, and come in a variety of flavours.  The portion guide gives a rough idea of portion servings. Fruit cake, however, is usually cut in smaller portions, and therefore the portion guide doesn’t apply for this particular cake.

 

Similarly, if you opt for a carved cake – for example a Car shape, then this portion guide doesn’t apply, but we will ensure you get the size you need.

Wedding Favours

We also offer heart shaped Welsh cake wedding favours to enhance your table settings.

The Welsh cake favours are presented as three mini treats in a bag. These could be personalised to the guests or with the couple’s names or initials, date and further embellished with a ribbon that coordinates with your colour scheme.

Cheesecakes

Rhwbeth Melys supplies weekly cheesecake deliveries at two local shops, Sarah’s Newsagent Maenclochog and Brian Llewelyn a’i Ferched Eglwyswrw. Four flavours change on a weekly basis. We also make large freshly made to order Cheesecakes for any special occasion.

Allergen Advice

Gluten free cakes are available on request for anyone with special dietary requirements. Rhwbeth Melys does not operate a nut free kitchen.  Most of our cakes don’t actually contain nuts, but for those of you with nut allergies, we’re afraid that we cannot ensure your safety when consuming cakes prepared in our kitchen.
